Impact of collaborative overload on decision making in organizations

Collaborative overload occurs in a situation in which an employee in an organization spends more time on responding to the requests made by his or her colleagues than finishing the duties and responsibilities entrusted to him. The phenomenon of collaborative overload can have a negative impact on decision making in organizations. Too much collaboration is preventing an employee from making decisions in time in an organizational environment. Along with that, collaborative overload may result in delayed decision making. The collaborative overload may also slow down the decision making process.
