why marriott does not have a brand in budget category of lodging?
Marriott International is a group of hotels with a brand image of luxury and premium lodging and boarding with preferred destination for individual customers as well as business executives. It should not extend its product line to include budget lodging as its brand name has a high risk of taking a toll where business executives and other frequent premium customers might switch to competitor hotels. Marriott has tieups with organizations to provide lodging to their business executives travelling across cities in the world as the businesses want to project themselves as employee friendly by offering premium services to customers.
