discuss the following: Major opportunities and threats usually result from an interaction among key environmental trends rather than from a single external event or factor

Answer #1

Every business has an environment that is composed of multiple factors such as degree of racial equality, age of the population, per capita income, lifestyles of the citizens, attitude toward authority, level of education, life expectancy, industrial waste, etc. All these put together forms the environment for a business organization. The idea that opportunities and threats to an organization emerges from a single, dominant factor is incorrect. It is the combination of various economic, social, cultural, demographic, political, legal and technological factors that constitutes the external environment. Each factor is complex and carries number of determinants that may possess opportunities and threats to an organization.
