I do not agree with this statement as bullwhip effect can be reduced by adopting current technologies in supply chain management. For example businesses use computer aided ordering to better track products along the supply chain. order to delivery time can also be reduced using such technologies, investment in information technologies help imp[prove supply chain performances. forecasting and ordering policies are the significant factors that affect the smooth information flow in the supply chains. Systems such as cross docking and EDI (Electronic Data Interchange) can reduce both the ordering lead-time and the information lead-time which further help in reducing the bullwhip effect
