Give me an example of when your ideas were strongly opposed by a co-worker or supervisor. What was the situation? What was your reaction? What was the result?*
The example I would like to give where my ideas were opposed by a team member or co worker of mine was the time when I was working in the project during my college times. It was the time when I was appointed as the team leader for my group project.
An idea where I believed that we should conduct out meetings on virtual manner on Google Meets was opposed as one of my team member said physical meeting would work better because virtual meetings are not efficient. It was a conflict as we both were having totally different and opposite ideas as I was prefering the virtual and modern way and my subordinate was prefering the traditional and physical way for the conduction of meetings. Being as a leader it was my job to express this conflict and argument in a healthier and better manner. A personal meeting between me and him was held were we discussed the pros and cons of both the methods. After having a healthy debate about what are the pros and cons of both the methods, we eventually decided to include every other member to pitch in and give their ideas regarding the same issue. As we all at that time used to live far away from our homes and deadline was near, 8 out of 10 people agreed that virtual meetings would be a better idea as it would save cost, time and efforts where we would be able to connect and work better. Thus, the conflict was resolved properly and in a healthier manner and the subordinate also understood the betterment and the benefits of my idea being presented in an effective manner. The result were the same, we selected and worked on the vitual meeting and completed and submitted our project before the deadline.
