upstream. It promotes collaboration with suppliers and
consumers.
(c) Unrelated Diversification of 3M: The businesses of the company which are diversified in many ways but not related to each other. They are common in very few aspects. Company make products according to the current need of the customers which requires concept of innovation to be used.
(d) It is profitable as these businesses have different departments. These departments take care of each and every unit. The company runs six major businesses with 35 units that are involved in taking care of different product line and brands.
