In my opinion, it is not a reasonable timeline to suggest that self-driving car technology will be mature and available to consumers within 10 years. This is because several companies are already working on self-driving car technology and there might be a breakthrough by one or the other companies and the technology might be available sooner than predicted. Hence we cannot put a timeline to the availability of this technology to the consumers and there is reasonable evidence to suggest that the technology might get matured soon enough since a lot of research and development is already happening in this regard.
