Discuss several disadvantages of linear programming; clearly explain the reasons for your choices.
The limitations of linear programming include:-
1. Mathematical model
It's Not easy to quantify every problem, or, a function into a mathematical form. And LP requires the use of a mathematical model in order to actually be able to compute.
2. It is linear in its implementation
This means that even though LP is a great method where linear models are considered, in order to explain objective functions effectively, it falls short, due to the fact it is linear.
3. Unrealistic assumption
Lp assumes that factory proportion of a function remains constant, it assumes the relationship between input and output to b linear as well, which defeats the purpose of being able to calculate.
4. It is mathematically complex
Not everyone can use this method because it is hard to master, involves a large amount of mathematical knowledge and objective skills to be able to be implemented.
