Answer-

Marketing mix are the offerings made by the maker for its product offered to the customer. The marketing mix varies in relationship to the offering of a service and of a product.

This variation lies as the service is intangible and cannot be standardized because of human intervention. There are four parts for the marketing mix of products :

Product : Tangible merchandise offered by the manufacturer.

Cost : Amount which the purchaser needs to pay in exchange of the product.

Place : Distribution channel through which the product is being made available to the expend.

Advancement : Communication channel through which the maker makes the customer aware about the prodcut and its potential advantages.

For example, Laptops are offered to customers as tangible products, at a certain cost, through a conveyance channela nd communicates through a communication channel.

As the service like Hotels, Restaurants, Telecom, Banking, Airlines, Doctors are tangible in nature and cannot be standardized as it is delivered and devoured at the same time and because of human intervention, there are additional 3 P's for service. These are as :

Individuals : In services, the individuals who produce the service and convey the same are important, so the individuals involved are important and crucial. In Restaurants, the customers visit the restaurant, because of the taste of the food which the Chef cooks.

Procedure : The systematic arrangement of steps to convey the services to the customers. Restaurants like Pizza Hut keep the pizza base ready, with the choppings and then as soon as they get the request , assemble the toppings according to the customers decision and make the pizza ready in the least conceivable time. (30 minutes for pizza conveyance)

Physical proof : In request to give certain tangibility to the service, physical proof or ambience is being offered weightage to reach the customers well. For instance, in a restaurant , the uniform of the staff, the ambience of the theme based restaurant and the behavior and hospitality of the staff is being considered by the customer at the hour of choosing the restaurant.

In this manner we can say that Products have 4 P's and Services have 7 P's.
