Have you had any experience working in a social movement? If so, what kind of social change were you hoping to support? What resources did the movement try to mobilize? Who were the vested interests who opposed the movement?

I have not personally, but social movements are usually brought about by people who share an idea, and want to make a change in the world they live. They are very difficult to organize and gain support for, but the world has had amazing things change as a result of social movements (social rights movement, etc). People who oppose social movements usually have underlying bigotry, hatred, and or ignorance to the movement, and feel as if they will lose their way of life if changes are made.
