Homework Answers

Answer #1

1. I can see a different kind of people in the video, but all are happy with their work and culture, they embrace their work, it is clearly visibile in their face. Best thing i heard in the video, is one of the employee is so positive about the company. He is so fasicanated about how the company care about employees. If company care, much about employees, surley that will reflect in their work. It will directioy impact in customer service. And will leading to higher prodctivity of employees. It is very very important to have core values. If their is no core values, it wont go long. Same thing we can see in history. Alexander the Great was a great king, because of his core values, the way he used to respect his fellow soldiers. It eventaully motivating the soldiers, and it is increasing their performance in battlfield. Zappos caluture is amazing.

2. Definitely an organization should have strong culture, if not it won’t run long. We can recruit highly talented and educated people in job market. But most of the time, he or she won’t be able to provide much benefit to the company, because of culture. I can see a good culture in the organization. Best thing is all the employees are happy about the company. It means, they are happy about the culture. All the employees, what I see in the video are more care about the company and their customers. Culture is something like Newton’s third law, “Every action has an equal and opposite reaction”. In short, the company has a very positive culture; hence employees are providing more productivity.

A positive culture will help organization in the long run, like employees wont quiet frequently, hence not loosing experienced employees. Productivity remaining same or increase. If they quit, need to recruit new employees, need to give training, leading to decline in production. In a positive environment all the employees will work together for a common goal.

3. Best evidence is Zappos's core values like" Do More With Less", Be Adventurous, Creative, and Open-Minded. And Do More With Less is something like, you have to find a way, or employees has to find a way for their issues, with in their limit. In other way they have to find new methods or ideas to resolve customer’s issues. And the other core value, “Be Adventurous, Creative, and Open-Minded”, also giving hint on how new ideas, and creative methods will provide an extra leap in competitive market.
