For a proper scenario, let's take the example of Walmart and heir 2013 case against labour welfare act in the view of the federal laws.

We see that even though Walmart justified their actions and essentially allowed for most of the charges to be withdrawn or removed by the federal agency responsible for the case, it was the federal law, that was absolute in this situation and no matter the size of the company, cannot be violated. Therefore, Walmart had to comply to the demands set by the federal law and essentially answer our question that a company does not have the power to overwrite the local, state or the federal laws but it's the other way round.
