There are four dimensions that have been used to distinguish types of innovation. There are 4 types of innovation - Incremental, Disruptive, Architectural and Radical. Dimensions used to differentiate these types are –

1. Product – This includes all the changes adopted in the products, services or things offered by organisation.

2. Process – This includes changes in the process in which organization is created and delivered.

3. Position – This includes changes in the context in which the products, services or things are introduced by the organisations.

4. Paradigm – This includes changes in the patterns, models or framework of the operations the organization.
