Do you think employers should be allowed to legally consider social media sites in the job search? Why or Why not? Think about this form both the employer and the job seeker perspective in your answer.
I don’t think that employers should be allowed to legally consider social media sites in the job search. The reason being is that people uses most of the social media sites as personal interaction, and show their personal sides. If an employer would be legally allowed to use social media sites in job search, it would be against the right of privacy of those people. From an employer point of view, there are already many job sites available for searching the right candidate, and even a platform like LinkedIn which is being used as a professional site and for networking and job search itself. That would be a place where employers can see the skillset, achievements and recommendations of a job applicant or a candidate, and that would be a much better place to go in a search of a right candidate than using other social media sites.
