Management is the only requirement needed for effective organizational development and not leadership. What is your take on this assertion?
Management: It refers to the effective process of managing the various task and coordinating them ,thus to achieve a common goal or objective of the organization.Effective management helps the organization to work efficiently,adopt competitive strategies,remain competitive in the market,smooth day to day operations.
Leadership: It refers to an art of accomplishing more than just the management science.It helps to deal with employee growth,Lead to have a motivational team,Help to extract more results as compare to just management science.Leadership inspire,motivates,influence their team to assist them in reaching the goal and achieving their highest possible performance.
As per my point of view, Both Management and Leadership is required to run and grow effectively and to attain the desired goals and objectives.
With good management and poor leadership, Organization lacks in dealing the effective performance of the team due to lack of motivation and inspiration and thus unable to accomplish the objective or goal, While with good leadership and lack of management, Team do not have the correct direction to work on and in that case also the team will not be able to fulfill the common objective or goals.
Thus Leadership which maintains motivational aspect of team and management which maintains and provide the correct direct to work , Both to be required for the successful working of the organization.
