Answer #1

Virtue for public administrators:

Virtues are essential for the public administrators or for people who are rendering service to the general public. Virtues are nothing but doing what is right and avoiding the wrong doings. It is essentially for the public administrators to be morally good.

The core important values required for public administrators can include honesty, integrity, accountability, dedication, reliability and expertise. Apart from these, attitudes, skills and behavior also constitute important public values.

Public administrators are required to maintain legitimacy by establishing their own personal credibility, exhibiting professional competence, respecting democratic principles, maintaining transparency in whatever they do and also maintaining good relationships with citizens and co workers.

The human values are critically important in work as public administrators. It is also necessary for the public persons to have interpersonal skills such as conflict mediation and good listening.
