Answer #1

The primary criticis of our food system is that the foods whether raw or cooked we consume is not as nutritious as they should be. The content of pesticides and other chemicals has increased, resulting in reducing the nutritional value of foods.

In order to counteract some problems that arise due to this criticism, the local food systems have begun to lay more stress on organic foods, i.e. produce which is grown using natural fertilizers and pesticides. These foods have higher nutritional value and hence are more healthy for consumption. Further, importance of consuming healthy food such a salads and fruits is promoted. Calorie consumption of the foods is mentioned on their respective packaging. This too adds to informing the customer regarding the food's nutritional content, and so on.
