Answer #1

There is a cost for acquiring customer, winning trust of customers and retain them for long period of time. When something new is found in internet lets say about spreadsheet, there are numbers of internet side which provide shareware of spreadsheet. To compete in this space the company has to establish itself in the market then only it will charge a small fees for using the service.Initially cash burnout will be much more with little or no revenue but when traffic in the website will increase it will attract revenue in the form of advertisement, sponsorship and visitors will also start paying fees.
