answer the following: Should information presentation cater to people’s intuitive preferences or aversions (and possibly leading to misleading judgments and decisions based on the same) or should the decision-makers be presented with coldly rational information (so as to avoid people’s intuitive preferences from overriding coldly rational information)

Answer #1

In my opinion, the decision-makers be presented with coldly rational information because in order to make decisions, it is important to consider only the facts and figures as well as the rational information based on the policies and procedures governing any organizational decison making authority. People’s intuitive preferences or aversion must be avoided while presenting information since there is no basis of that information and it is purely on the basis of individual's interpretation which is never the goal of decision making and defeats its purpose as well. Hence information should be based on rational analysis and facts/figures only.
