Ethics in research writing:

• promoting the aims of research, could be knowledge, truth, information about a topic/ subject/ project
• avoidance/ minimization of error
• prohibition of fabrication, falsification, or misrepresentation of research data
• should be objective and follow integrity
• open to criticism and new ideas

Aspects of Source:

• source should be authentic and in compliance with the law
• data should not be fabricated, example in clinical trials/ healthcare, it can even cost a patient’s life
• could be authentic primary research conducted, example on patients- should have complete details for evaluation and authenticity
• data could come from previous research conducted and journals by universities/ organizations with right reference numbers quoted to cross check
• should be under strictly under sources following institutional and governmental policies

Plan:

• Ensure compliance with guidelines for authorship
• Follow of copyright and patenting policies
• Comply with data sharing policies
• Maintain confidentiality rules in peer review
• 100% accountability for avoiding any research misconducts, and conflicts of interest
• Avoid any wasteful and duplicative publication
