1. Trends - trends are movement of stocks in one general direction over a period of time

Types of stockholders - there are two types of stockholders - Common Stockhlder and Preffered Stock Holder

Common Stockholders hold common stocks and have right to vote on company issues

Preferred Stockholders get a steady flow of dividends but donot have a right to vote. However, in case of financial hardship, preferred stockholders are preferred over the common stockholders for payouts
