Two of the most talked about forms of sustainability in transportation are electric and self driving vehicles. Now we all know about self driving cars but of late some real advance testing of self driving semi trucks. The company Tu-simple has come out with some high end gear for the trucks they are testing, as of now they have the industry's first 1000 meter perception system. The AI they are developing should be able to deal with complex scenarios on and off the highways. One of the simplest issues that these systems haven't been able to deal with until now is the ability to deal with a crossroad/ four way stops, with Tu-simple's AI it should be no problem at all. And finally the safety issue of driving in the rain is getting worked on and the AI from Tu-simple is said to have the ability to identify objects and obstacles in the rain or rough weather.
