Informative presentation- it is used to present specific information to specific audience. When presenter want to give particular information to audience this type of presentation is required. For example college professor gives lecture on a specific topic to class.

Persuasive presentation- its main aim is to inform, educate and convince an audience to accept presenter’s point of view. When presenter wants to convince an audience to gets something in return. For example a girl is trying to convince her parents that she needs to be able to stay out until 1 pm.

Group presentation- it is collaborative presentation, a group of people present opinions, information or knowledge to an audience. Generally these presentations are given when different ideas and opinions have to be presented to an audience. It is an important part of certain academic and business projects. For example group presentation during a class by students.

Special occasion presentation- it is delivered during special occasions like birthday, award ceremony, marriage, retirement, etc. it is given when presenter wants to express his or her feeling at that moment. These presentations are not like generally presentations, they are usually short. For example after receiving award the awardees giving presentation.

Key guidelines to follow when introducing a person speaking are as follows-

1. Before introduction ask the speaker what they would like you to say

2. Find out what subject the speaker will cover then introduce speaker according to it

3. Research about the biographical information of the speaker

4. Do not use sensitive information about speaker without approval

5. Include a surprising detail if it fits in the introduction of the speaker

6. Pronounce the speaker’s name correctly

7. Check for any specific titles the speaker has use them in introduction

8. Explain the speaker’s qualification correctly

9. Tell the audience what they will learn by listening

Tips to effectively present an award-

1. Know in advance that do the nominees know in advance that they won a specific award or just of their nominations

2. Already know the total time allotted in the award ceremony

3. Research about the past recipients that should be mentioned

4. If it is there any sponsor then take their name

5. Include a surprising detail about the receiver of award

6. Pronounce the award receiver’s name correctly

7. If there is award winner not present then ask the audience that there is any family member who can receive on behalf of her or him.

1. Be genuine

2. Keep your remarks brief

3. Give a nod to the organizers

4. Keep a lid of jokes

5. Mention the organization’s goal

6. Give credit to important persons
