The company I have chosen to follow is my current employer Cali Bamboo. They currently utilize all the social media platforms listed in various different ways.

I have been following since Sunday of this week and we have some very interesting posts as a company! We have a very eclectic work environment – We are an open work space and a dog friendly work place as well. Last week we had an all hands meeting so the postings to our pages have been in relation to that and where the company is going for the future.

On our Facebook and You Tube channel we have posted the all hands meeting and company photo we took as well as videos of this coming together, which with dogs is kind of hilarious! Our You Tube channel also has posting of installations of our flooring by various customers as well as before and after videos for all to enjoy. Check out our Facebook page https://www.facebook.com/CaliBamboo/

Our blog covers a lot of information as well! We recently promoted our President to CEO and there is an article on Doug on there. As well as the 5 new colors being released for Summer 2018, featuring Minnie the dachshund! The blog has a variety of categories including Projects & Ideas, DIY & How to, going green, green products, photos, videos – which links to our You Tube page, News, As Seen on, project of the month, customer stories, giving back, healthy living, know-how, promos and shout outs for employees from customer and other employees.

On our Instagram page – our marketing team has posted various photos of the company dogs with our new line of eco-friendly rugs – all named after the dogs pictured of course! There are also short videos from the work place of product testing, dogs and the employees working hard.

The extent of our social media presence is very extensive as we are a very eco-friendly and environmentally friendly company and we like to show this to the customers we have and the potential ones in the market! If you are interested, please take a peek at our blog and poke around in the different areas! https://www.calibamboo.com/blog/

Homework Answers

Answer #1

The objective here majorly looks like to integrate the mission and the goal of the organisation to the social media, trying to establish a stronger connect with the audience and the stakeholders. However some discussion on how the conncet and the network is being expanded via the offline channels is also critical. That would be highly effective in understanding the appropriate balance, in between the offline and the online modes. This will also enable the organisation to push itself for the reach and the business beyond the borders and explore the markets outside of the current operations territory.
