The primary challenge in a global project compared to that of a domestic project is the maintenance of diversity which the management of the project needs to handle effectively so that it contributes to the betterment of the project with more positive and constructive options. A domestic project generally have to deal with the regulations of a single government but on the other hand the global project requires to deal with various regulations of the various governments involved. Communication is also an important aspect in this context and project management may get affected by the same because there may be barrier in communications along with differences in culture as well which may affect the functioning of the project.
