Do you agree or disagree that in international relations the world lives in an "anarchic" state of existence? Explain why..
I would say that I agree the world lives in an "anarchic" state when we are discussing international relations. Overall, the world "anarchy" tends to have a very negative connotation; this is because we are used to and secure with the structure of living in a society with governed laws - we feel safe. In most people's heads, anarchy is seen as chaos and violence. There is no government to enforce laws and punish crimes, so people may act crazy or dangerous. Although I do agree that international relations in the world exists in an anarchic state, I do not believe it is at the same intense of negative connotation anarchy is typically seen in. There is no central governing body that exactly dictates the "laws" of international relations, and overall it really is every country to himself when it comes down to things. Because of this, there is some disorder and conflict that sometimes arises, leading to an anarchic state.
