Sunholm Solar Inc. is a startup company that intends to design, finance, install, and maintain residential solar power systems for homeowners across the United States. Sunholm Solar was founded 3 months ago by a group of executives from established solar companies who decided to strike out on their own. The new company has been refining its business plan, securing financing, hiring staff, and preparing to launch operations about 2 months from now. Sunholm’s next priority is to begin work on a company website, a key element of the firm’s aggressive marketing plan. To keep its internal staff to a minimum, Sunholm executives wish to contract with an independent web developer to create its site. Sunholm is now interviewing candidates and gathering ideas about how to proceed.

Sunholm Solar Inc. is a startup company that intends to design, finance, install, and maintain residential solar power systems for homeowners across the United States. Sunholm has the priority to begin work on a company website, so that to have key elements of the firm’s aggressive marketing plan. So SSI (Sunholm Solar Inc.) is in need of the website, so that they can start their website work and they can start their marketing and promotion in the market for the same.

Identification of Client’s need on website: We need to capture the key requirements for website for the client so that the website can be design in accordance with the requirement from SSI. We need to have a detail review and discussion with key stakeholders of the SSI, so that we can understand their requirements and can ask the website designer to design accordingly. We want to focus on requirements for the website so that the design of the website meets the business requirements.

Proposal from the company to go about creating a new website to help it achieve its goals: We want to propose the creation of the website for the company based on the key requirements of the business. We want all the business requirements needs to be captured so that the website can be design to meet the business requirements. The website will be proposed to design in the way the business needs it. The website should meet all the key functionality of the business lie request by consumers, request circular to key member in the organization, request approval flow, request execution process and request completion with satisfaction to customers. The Website should be able to have desired digital marketing for the company. It should meet the demand of documentation for the organization. It should facilitate the business for the organization.

Features in the website: The features in the website should be such that it meets the business requirements. The website should have features such that data storage, request generation, request execution, system generated email, system generated follow-ups, digital marketing, product updates, data base for the company, resources management, customer complaints and grievances management, connection with social media, news, chatting, calling facilities etc.

Audience of the site, and how would you address their particular needs: The audience for the website are the customers and workers / employees on the organization who are engaged in the working at the SSI company. The website should be able to meet the demand of their customer so that customer can raise all their queries and get the proper response from the SSI Company. The workers/employee’s requirement should also be captured in the website so that they feel easy in execution with the website.

Included and Excluded from the site: All the business requirements should be included in the website and website should focus on the requirements from the SSI Company only. The website should not contain any unrequited functionality which is not relevant for the SSI organization.
