Discuss the advantages and disadvantages of cloud computing. (Ch. 14)
Cloud computing is providing storage service to the user without the user having to manage hardware or software and is based on the network.
Advantages :
1. Low costs since the user does not have to manage hardware.
2. Accessing the data is easy.
3. Cloud computing is more reliable since it is password protected.
4. You can access the data from anywhere I.e. allows mobility.
5. Maintaining and managing it is easier since you can do it over network.
Disadvantages :
1. Cloud computing is impossible to access without internet.
2. Requires great bandwidth if your requirements are big.
3. Some of the cloud computing services are still not reliable due to security threats.
4. Getting support and help in management may be hard to get.
5. Costs may vary depending upon the provider which can be troublesome.
