The functions coordinated by Supply chain management system are as follows-
1. Aligning flow- it is concerned with the supply chain management which keeps going up and down the supply chain same as money material and information are passed on between customers.
2. Integrating functions- supply chain management acts as and link in between the activities of Logistic purchasing and operations in order to ensure the focus on the goals and improve the overall performance.
3. Coordinating processes- it increases the overall profitability by aligning the process used to plan,source and deliver the company's product and services.
4. Designing Complex system- there are certain simulation tools which can provide a predictive as to how supply chain will behave and small changes can cause major disruption in the flow of materials in the supply chain.
5. Managing resources- the supply chain manager who are responsible for using the people process and Technology in order to meet the requirements of the customer demand.
