Discuss the varying degrees of ethics found in organizations you have been involved with (community organizations, schools, teams, workplaces, and so on).
How did you know you were (or were not) part of an ethical organization? Refer to your textbook as needed to help inform your response.
The varying degree of ethics I have found in organizations I have been involved with depends on their level of cultural standard. I have worked with a grocery store before and most of the job ethics were based on how to deal with customers by trying our best to satisfy them. but one of the ethic I love so much that made us as employee enjoys from the organization's ethic is that if you are on break or not on the clock and a customer walk up to you for help, direct the customer to another employee on the clock. so these made me feel I am part of the ethics of the organization. Another place I worked as the board of education and the ethics were basically high on making sure we protect the students for success. The third-place I worked was the Medicaid office and the ethics were much higher on protecting people's information. so all of these ethics depends on the cultural importance of what each of the organization is dealing with.
Think about a current or potential future role in which you have been asked to create an information FAQ for an organization.
What are your ethical responsibilities with regards to creating accurate, clear, and precise information for the people who will use the FAQ?
My ethical responsibility with regards to information for people who will use the FAQ is to write questions from the point of view of the customer and also write the FAQ sheet in an actual question-and-answer format. I will keep the answers short, then make sure I fully answer the question, not just link to a different page. I will also start the answers to the yes/no questions with a “yes” or a “no” then avoid jargon— I will write like the way customers talk and show some personality in the answers.
How might you respond to a dilemma in which you have been asked to obscure or omit information for a FAQ that you believe to be vital?
This will be tough because I am caught between the truth and the obligation to obey the rules of my organization. I will investigate why the information has to be omitted and try to create and explain a balance at which the situation can be resolved and if I have to omit, by all means, I will make sure the information is from the direct heat of the organization as I will investigate the matter to the top.
