Functions of port authorities:- Port authorities have basically three he fofunctions- landlord, regulator and operator. All these three functions helps in achieveing the following sub-functions:-

• Elimination of boottlenecks.
• Facilitation of administrative procedures.
• Reengineering of processes.
• Marketing and promotional act.
• Training and education activities.
• Introduction of ICT.
• New organization structure building.

Port authorities are organized in such a way that we get all the value-added services by adding value-added logistics and value-added facilities.

• Deputy port controller comes under port controller:- Below are the segments comes under deputy port controller:-

2. Nassau office--Also includes assistant port controllers in different segments like Nassau office, Dock master's office and freeport office.
