There are six stages in the life cycle of quality initiative, they are

  1. Adoption - when a new quality initiative is introduced and implemented.
  2. Regeneration - the new quality initiative is integrated with an existing initiative to add value.
  3. Energizing - an existing initiative is remodelled and more resources are added to it.
  4. Maturation - when the quality initiative results and process are aligned to the main process and deployed across processes.
  5. Stagnation - the stage where the rewards and returns of initiative decline or stagnate.
  6. DEcline/Termination - in this stage the benefits drop and decline, and it needs to be stopped and a new has to be adopted.
