OLAP (online analytical processing) is a computer processing tool that enables users to easily extract data from different point of view.OLAP itslef consist many tools designed to enable user to perform multidimesion analysis of data.oLap focuses data much wider.

oLAP mainly uses by managers ,executives to extract data and get information for taking decision of the organisation .

HOW DOES IT WORK?

*Business gather data from different sources and shows in many different formats such as text files,multimedia files,access,excel .

All the data gathered in data warehouse which is a large storage.In the data warehouse data is collected from OLTP or other sources.After that it gets cleaned and cleaned data stored in relational database.Data then loaded in OLAP server then end uses can access information from OLAP cube.
