Answer #1

2. Enterprise Architecture is a clear documentation of the current and desired/potential relationships between the management processes, business and IT.

Enterprise Architecture needs to ensure that the technology being used and implemented at the enterprise is completely aligned to the business requirements. So, as a part of the Enterprise Architecture Process, organization’s strategic goals, workflows, and business functions need to be understood. The Enterprise Architecture provides the enterprise with a common language that can link the technology being used or implemented by them to the organization’s core business processes and strategic objectives, while providing the executive staff, with a strategic enterprise wide view of the IT portfolio. The Enterprise Architecture defines the core business processes, and identifies the common system needs for multiple business processes and facilitates the communication between the process stakeholder and technical staff, thus facilitating the communication of organization’s strategic objectives between the stakeholders and technical staff.
