There is a need for any action to be based upon valid facts and requirements that relies upon the situation that one encounters as well. We can, therefore, say that it is important to study an organization's past present and future, in order to determine what the organization is all about and what it symbolizes. Being that we can study its past behaviour, its current standing and the future growth it can achieve (theoretically) will allow us to be able to create a better plan for the creation of the IT sector for that organization. It can be a long and frustrating process, but, it is a relevant one. We need to realize that it will save us a lot of time, capital investment and critical mission failure if we do not consider the impact that all these values have upon the functioning of the business.
Therefore, it can be said that when formulating the best plan, keep a clear vision ahead, know where you stand now, and learn from the past endeavours in order to create the best possible outcome for any situation (IT department in this case)
