Largest global challenge Starbucks faces with current supply chain is logistics. Transportation over 19 countries is not an easy feat let alone transport over 19 countries on time. Starbucks logistically issues is only a starting point though, uncertainty when working with many suppliers all over world is endless. A poor growing season for coffee beans may drastically affect Starbucks, rising fuel costs, tariffs and taxes, import or export issues, political coups, corporate / supplier scandal, & natural disasters may cause shortages or challenges for Starbucks. Company has to find a way to plan for the majority of uncertainties is situations & be able to still operate & produce revenue.
