Here is an essay about Intellectual assets -

An intellectual asset is an investment which is made into brands, design, tech & related creative tasks/work. The law which plays the role of protection of such assets is known in a collective manner as intellectual property.

For the brand's aspect, it includes example like company names, domain, logos, brand designs, name of restaurants and bars & newspaper mastheads. All of these elements are used for generating goodwill.

For the design aspect, an example of the intellectual asset would include the layout of the circuit of the electrical board. Another example can be the circuit that generates power for Tesla cars & trucks from electricity. The texture of garment, shape of ornamental and home products like a vase, candle stand are all examples of the intellectual asset.

Technology aspect would include examples like a new machine, the process in operations, program in compute, semi-conductor, heater technology in washing machines etc.

Creative works are also intellectual assets. Novel, poem, song, film, short movie, game, simulation are its examples. Even the performances of actors, singers play artists, dancers are example s of creative work.
