We are looking for current articles no more than six months old that describe issues faced by business organizations. Articles for this assignment can be found from a wide variety of reputable sources in traditional print media and on the Internet. The Wall Street Journal, Business Week, Fortune, Forbes, Inc. Magazine, and The Economist are all good sources. These publications, and others, can be found online without a subscription. Briefly summarize the article (one paragraph) and then analyze the article (instructions below). The analysis should be no more than 2 pages, single spaced, single-sided, Calibri or Times font, with 12 point type. Please make sure to cite the source for your article (APA format) in enough detail so that the reader can locate the original. Proper grammar, spelling, and sources are required – points will be deducted for work that contains grammar, spelling, structural errors, old information (more than six months old), or articles from non-reputable sources (e.g. Wikipedia, blogs, op-ed pieces, …).

The article should focus on a specific business organization and some of the issues confronting it. Use a strategic model or concept from the text to illustrate (a) the issues that are currently facing the business, and (b) how the business should respond to gain/maintain sustainable competitive advantage. What we are looking for in this exercise is your ability to use the tools we are studying rather than just judging if you have the right/wrong answer.

AT&T is one of the most prominent service provider of United States of America. AT&T has developed better trading strategy even if there is low demand.

AT&T reduces its plan prices when the demand is low to improve the customer involvement and to create a better sales in the specific market segment. It also cut of major services just like recently AT&T closed its legacy Ethernet service which was reducing the overall profit generated by the company. As this service was very low in demand there was no sense of continuing with the same platform.

This type of approach directly affects the company's overall organisation structure and improve its profitability as company changes according to the changing Trends. Reducing the prices and shutting off the non revenue generating branches of the company is there mean approach for increasing adaptability and reduce the overall cost involved in operation for increasing the profits. GigaMAN and DecaMAN are the two Ethernet services which AT&T shutdown in 2017.

Finest example for AT&T following this strategy is removal of The Legacy Ethernet based service from its portfolio. As customers have moved to wireless platforms or fibre optic internet, there are not so many people available to use Legacy Ethernet services which was creating loss for the company.AT&T quickly understand the situation and discontinued 20 to 800 services due to low demand.

AT & T can gain competitive advantage by leveling up there wireless services. As other service providers in United States of America are focusing on creating fast network environment, company can focus on creating fast wireless network environment which is also reliable for industrial businesses. As most of the industries are moving towards fibre optic internet,AT & T can also create competitive advantage by looking into this specific aspect of creating cost differentiation technique and reducing prices of the plans would also be a better option for AT&T
