Question

Present an original analogy to the 'Absolute Cell Reference'.

Present an original analogy to the 'Absolute Cell Reference'.

Homework Answers

Answer #1

Absolute cell reference is used when one wants to constantly refer to a particular cell in a formula even when the formula is copied to elsewhere in the worksheet. We can use F4 to use this function. We can make row , column or both absolute. A dollar sign appears before row or column or both indicating that it is made absolute.

ex: $F5 --> In this reference to column F remains constant

D$8--> Reference to 8th row remains constant

$A$6- Reference to cell A6 remains constant

An Optical cell containing a solution was placed in a beam of light. The original intensity of the light was 100 units. After being passed through the solution, the intensity was 80 units. A second cell containing more of the same solution was also placed in the light beam behind the first cell. Calculate the intensity of radiation emerging from the second cell.
