Out of all the functions of Operations Management Strategy is the most important function in my opinion. It is the base of any kind of operation and no work is done until and unless there is strategy in place to achieve a goal, mission or target.

Strategy defines the workflow and timeline along with the policies and procedures which the employees or workforce follow to complete the tasks whether it be a part of supply chain management, facility design, quality or continuous improvement. Every move in an organization has a strategy behind it to make sure a path is followed to achieve desired outcome.
