Answer
Affirmative action is a policy in which the persons color, race, sex religion or the country of origin are taken into consideration in order to increase the opportunities provided to them, who are an underrepresented part of the Civil Society. I believe that it is necessary in the United States of America because the aim of this is to promote the opportunities of the specified minority groups in the society and give them equal access to that of the majority population in the United States of America. The success of this policy has been effective in eliminating the the education and income gaps between the blacks and the whites. The poverty rate for the blacks as Europe since 1970 and it continues to improve still today. It helps in reversing discrimination against certain minority groups and gives them equal law under the United States of America who should be treated fair and equally.
