It seems that our society has a great inclination to solve ethical problems through the legal system. What can be said about current and future ethical conflicts - do we just need more laws on the books, so society can justify certain behavior? What do you feel is the importance of establishing the public organization as a moral agent?
In my views, there is a need for written laws for ethics and legality. Now is the age of Information Technology entering into its Fourth Generation where the focus is more about employing Artificial Intelligence in business processes. There needs to be more laws focusing on ethical conduct and dealing of such business processes.
As currently there is no specific system acting as a watchdog over the above-mentioned business processes, hence a public organization can be given the responsibility of being a moral agent. The public organization will be responsible for laying terms and conditions, rules and compliances for governing such systems having integration of AI technology with ethical standards. The organization will also be monitoring the adherence of such laws by the systems.
