Right to work laws gives the employees right to decide whether to join a union or not. It prohibits any king of agreement regardign employment between the unions and the employer. The employees can join any union and no union has the right to demand them to join. There are some advantages and disadvantages of these right to work laws.
The advantages are that the authority of unions will be reduced and hence everyone will have the opportunity to get the job equally. Corruption can be reduced . The unions needs to be accountable and it is very beneficial for the development of the company and it's employees.
The disadvantages are when the involvement of union decreases. the authority of management increases. Unions will be weakened and cannot not fight for any laws. All the benefits that need to be provided to employees might not be available without unions to fight for them.
The current trends show that states with these right to work laws are being fast developed and employment rate also increased when compared to states where these laws are not present. Influence of unions is decreasing day by day on the companies.
