Answer #1

S.M.A.R.T. goal allows us the ability to be able to optimize or performance as well as control the factor that could lead to anxiety and uncertainty. S.M.A.R.T. goal generally requires the creation of specific goals that have a measurable factor associated with them which is generally attainable yet ambitious in its realization. The goal needs to be realistic in nature and should also have a time-bound structure attached to it.

Therefore, if we are to consider creating a sample S.M.A.R.T. goal for our career. We need to take into account the values that are created above and utilize them effectively.

For example, we can choose game development to be the career we are trying to enter. We are trying to achieve a specific position of the lead game programmer, this needs to be done in the span of 3 years in order for the criteria to be fulfilled. We will need to consider our current skill level and the requirements of the new position that we desire. Therefore, we will measure the requirements of the new position and apply that to our current skill level. This will help us determine if the position of the lead game programmer is even attainable as a goal. Once we get past that, we are able to create specific goals for our plan of action, that would determine if we are actually successful in attaining the goal in the span of 3 years.
