Walmart is a global, multi-brand, multi-service business which as its store in numerous continents, countries of the world. We can see that Walmart has 11,718 stores and clubs in 28 countries, operating under 59 different names. It operates under the names Walmart in America and Canada, as Walmart de México y Centroamérica in Mexico and Central America, as Asda in the United Kingdom, as the Seiyu Group in Japan, and as Best Price in India.

It holds product on different categories by different companies and suppliers and essentially has a huge inventory when it comes to selection, not only is the inventory large, it is optimized based on user statistics and forecasts which allows Walmart a competitive edge as far as storage and transportation go. It follows a centralized structure but most stores operate under a general manager which has the sole responsibility for all the functions that are performed by the store which includes which deals to put up, what to stock and how to structure the aisles for better customer facilitation.
