It holds multiple subject areas.	It oftenly holds only one subject area. For example sales, finance etc.
Data warehouse holds detailed information of the subject areas.	Data marts contains summarised data of only given subject area.
It works to integrate all data resources.	It concentrates on information integration of only given subject area or we can say project oriented.
Its not necessary to use dimensional models in case of data warehouse.	Using star schema it build focus on a dimensional model.
Top-down approach used in data model.	Bottom-up approach used in data model.
Its very hard to build a data warehouse.	Its very simple to build a data mart.
System should be centralized in data warehouse.	Data mart having decentralized systems.
