United parcel service (UPS) is a package delivery and supply chain management service providing company.

Material handling in United parcel services is the process of moving, storing, controlling and protecting packages throughout the process of manufacturing, distribution, storage and consumption. The company mainly handles delivery and transportstion of packages.

To handle material in the company, UPS has a staff of 444,000 people. 362,000 employees in the United States and rest in different parts of world handling operations. It has around 119,000 delivery vehicles for delivering packages and transporting material.

It follows the Triple A strategy of supply chain management which focuses on agility, adaptability and alignment. It gives special importance to customer satisfaction more than anything else.
