TASK TWO(10%, 500 words)
This task is all about you and your approach to learning! You are required to reflect on your experiences during your participation in this unit this semester. In particular, discuss what (if any) aspects of the unit challenged or strengthened your assumptions, beliefs, or expectations about yourself as a student of finance, and how this might affect your future studies in this discipline.Use the three-step reflective framework below to structure your response. (You may use some or all of the suggested prompts listed in bullet points within each step to focus your response, or give your response a different focus.)
1. Description
(What?):
Describe one assumption/belief/expectation about yourself as a student that was challenged or strengthened by your experiences in this unit.
What was the most significant thing you learned in this unit about yourself and the way you approach your studies?
What was it about your experiences in the unit, or about the unit itself, that strengthened or challenged your assumption/belief/expectation?
2. Interpretation: (So what?)
How did your assumption/belief/expectation about yourself as a studentchange based on your experiences in this unit? Why?
Did you gain insight into ways to approach your studying that worked particularly well or poorly for you in this unit? How did you come to this conclusion?
What new understanding have you gained about your study habits, or the way you keep up to speed with unit content, or the way you prepare for assessment, etc.?
Why is this important?
3. Outcome (Now what?)
How will this knowledge about yourself influence the way you approach future studies?
What improvements can you make to the way you approach your studies based on this knowledge?
What will you do differently, or what will you continue to do the same, and why?
What study behaviours will you change and what do you hope to achieve by doing so?
Description
As a student, every time I have been asked one question everywhere I go, is “WHAT IS YOUR INTEREST”? This question is so difficult to answer for me as I really don’t have any idea what exactly interest me! I became blank and often avoid and leave the place. While undergoing this unit, when I heard my teachers or would say listen to my teachers lectures carefully, I was constantly asking is this something my interest would fall for. Then by the end of the unit, I realize I don’t take interest in what is written in books rather I enjoyed the lively conversation, personal experiences, shared by the teachers, other students. My focus was improved as I could have related things to the real life. I no more feel sleepy listening to those written stanza’s in my book as I have got the sense to relate this to my life.
Interpretation
When I started relating these books with my own life, with my own money and how my mom manages our finance and how she made accounts for my dad. I could understand and started calculating my own. The finance things which used to go over my head was something suddenly I was able to resolve. And were more to find the easiest way of doing it. My interest in literature and for writing the articles came out. Now I don’t need to copy answers from the books or my friends. Instead I just read and get idea what this topic is about and then frame it in my own words and share my life experience as an example and by chance I was doing good.
Outcome
I have started reading three books at a time for same subject and have extracts of the matters, gone through live examples and put those examples in my answer. This interest me, I feel self-satisfied when I write my answers so briefly and nicely and started waiting for appreciation.
Now I am waiting for somebody to ask me what my interest is – As I know what to answer, my interest is in writing, writing and summarising and make the article interesting for the reader. I would be learning into the field of Content writer or will do apprenticeship with some news agency to develop core values and learning. I will continue to write this way as this way writing the crux of the matter with different examples will never make my answer similar to any other student and this will be unique, explanatory, concise and at least I will feel good about it.
