Can you think of a leader in your past or present that you knew was truly authentic in his or her leadership, and a leader who said all the right things, but did not model behaviors and people did not trust? What was the observable difference?

Answer #1

We have so many leaders who preach and follow their ideology in the modern world and some who merely preach without following.

The leader who followed what they preached turned out to be a source of inspiration for many and had developed followers in the due course of time since they were both ethical and honest.

The leader who just preached and did not follow the patterns became a source of mockery and failed in earning the trust of the employees.

Earning people or employees trust and confidence is the foremost factor that the leaders will have to work for, whilst an authentic leader will work for it and on the other hand an unauthentic leader will fail to do so.

An authentic leader will continue to be a leader while an unauthentic leader will not be acknowledged as a leader anymore.
