Usually this depends upon the factors which can be considered unethical, but, in certain occasions, whistleblowing can be favorable to the company.

Generally, it is seen that companies can get rid of curroption as well as build over the values of ethics which can be caused by a previous whistleblowing incident and therefore, keeps all the employees as well as the employer in line.
